Bayfield is an elegantly-restored, privately owned country house set in its own extensive grounds, in rural north Norfolk. The estate includes the ruins of an 11th century church which provides a unique setting for filming, location photography and special events.
The present Georgian house was rebuilt in the 18th century from an earlier Tudor house and is sited in one of the most beautiful country estates in Norfolk. The large 200-acre park was designed by Repton and is laid to grass. Among the ancient oaks and beeches which are dotted about, there is a 19th century lake in the centre.
In the grounds near to the house there is a summer house, a dovecot, a walled garden, tennis court and rose arbour. Just a mile away is a small but unique shell museum that houses anything to do with, or made from, shells from the beach.
We can provide dogs or horses if you need some living ‘props’!
